LP Bongos

LP Bongos offered the widest range of bongo drums with variety for beginners and professionals. Martin Cohen the founder of LP percussion has been on the Bongo scene since decades and his percussion instrument are designed based on personal experience and expertise. The traditional LP bongos are created from treated Siam wood, with Cuban style steel bottoms and natural rawhide heads. Bongo drums are available in wood and fiberglass options.

LP percussion has bongos for different stages of experience. The LP Aspire series is designed especially for beginners and the LP Matador series is for players at the intermediate level. There are bongos available for experts and professional performers as well.

Under each of the series, LP offers a set of signature bongo drums that have been created from the inspiring performances of the best musicians in the business. The LP Aspire series has a special line dedicated to Carlos Santana and his style of music. It is a dedicated to the influence Santana has had on popular music over the past four decades.

Under the LP Matador series, there are traditional bongos dedicated to the Peruvian and Cuban influences on music. A special series of custom fiberglass bongos have been crafted by LP to know Raul Rekow for his path-breaking influence on Latin music.

LP has also crafted a Generation III Triple Bongo set which adds a third bongo drum to the traditional two set. This drum is smaller and has a dia of 5 ½ “.This additional drum provides extra sound and accent possibilities. These can be played in two configurations – straight line and triangular.

The LP Giovanni series is inspired by the excellence displayed by Giovanni Hidalgo, the Master Conguero. His signature sound has inspired the creation of the LP Giovanni Compact Bongos. This patented and award winning design allows for easy placement with drum kits. This is made from a special aluminium allow with synthetic heads.

The LP inner circle great Armando Perazo has been honoured with a special finish series of custom bongo drums. Richie Garcia and Johnny ‘Dandy’ Roderiquez, Jr. also have been honoured with their signature series of bongo sets at LP.

LP constantly strives to improve bongo designs to cater to changing music scene needs. The LP Generation II and Generation II bongos have been specially designed with improved contours and naturally hand-picked rawhide heads. LP has also designed an exclusive series of bongos that are available only at Guitar Centre and Sam Ash.
